Orders over 2KG in weight will produce an error at the checkout stage (carrier not found). Therefore contact us prior to making your order to arrange shipping for anything over 2KG in weight.
Orders are usually dispatched within 48 hours of receiving payment. In some cases orders are dispatched the same day as the order. Orders made at a weekend will be dispatched the following Monday at the earliest. However, we cannot guarantee the above and there may be times when orders take longer due to unforeseen circumstances, e.g. a large order, which will take time to process, has been received prior to your order.
If your order is urgent or you require special shipping methods then contact us BEFORE you make your order to arrange this. If you do not do this, the item will be sent via standard First Class mail and will therefore have no guaranteed shipping or delivery date. Standard First Class Mail does not include tracking or insurance.
Again, we must repeat that dispatch times are entirely dependent on how busy we are at that time. We are a small cottage industry with limited resources. We will always do our best to get your order out as quickly as possible but please speak to us before making your order if it is needed urgently or by a certain date as we can then make special arrangements for your order to 'jump the queue' if necessary.
Once an item is dispatched it is out of our hands and we accept no responsibility for your items not arriving at your destination. If you require postal tracking and/or insurance or Special/Next Day Delivery (for Urgent Orders) then please choose those options before finalising your order or contact us to make special arrangements, otherwise mail is sent via Royal Mail First Class Small Parcels. Check the UK Royal Mail or Post Office websites for full details of the postal options.
Items paid using PayPal will only be dispatched to your listed PayPal address. Please do not ask for your order to be sent to a different address.
Normally we use Royal Mail as our method of delivery. However, we also have the option of deliveries via APC Courier upon request. This may be quicker and will be cheaper for orders weighing over 2KG in weight, especially to countries outside of the UK.
Immediate payment is required for all orders before they will be shipped, including out of stock items that you are back-ordering. If you pay via eCheque or some other such method whereby funds take days or weeks to be cleared then your order will only be shipped once those funds have been authorised and cleared by your bank and/or PayPal.
Note that you do NOT require an account with either Google or PayPal to use their services. Both have the option to pay with your credit/debit card without first opening an account.
Note that refunds will be given for faulty goods only upon return of the faulty item. Once we can verify that the item is indeed faulty we will arrange for either a replacement or a refund. Any refunds for non-faulty items (i.e. parcels return to us due to wrong address or non-collection, etc.) will be subject to deductions of costs incurred by Earthshine Electronics, i.e. costs of postage, labels, packaging, printing, inks, toners, handling, administration, etc. plus a £2.50 processing fee. The above also applies to requests for refunds for unwanted items upon return of the item in the same condition it was posted in.
Items returned to us, through no fault of our own (i.e. wrong address, non-collection, etc. can be sent back out to you upon request. However, P&P costs will need to be paid again to cover costs we have already incurred in sending the item out the first time around).
If you back order items that are out of stock we will only send your parcel once all of the items are in stock. You will have paid one P&P charge for one parcel. If you wish the order to be split and sent as two separate consignments then additional P&P costs will be incurred. Therefore, it is better if ordering out of stock items to make one order for the items that are in stock and a second one for the items out of stock, unless you don't mind waiting for the order to be dispatched once all items are in stock.
Some selected items can be back-ordered when out of stock. They are marked as such on the product page. Money for back-ordered items is taken at the time of the order regardless of the stock quantity. This is to allow us to order extra items on top of our regular ordering quantities.
Note that the office is closed on the following dates for holidays or for us to attend Maker Faires, staff holidays, etc. On these dates no orders will be processed but our online store will still accept your order as normal. We will continue order processing as soon as we get back:
Friday 23rd December 2011 to Tuesday 3rd January 2012 inclusive.
Orders made during and after this time will take longer than usual to process whilst we catch up with the backlog. We will only be able to dispatch order made before 13:00 GMT on the 22nd December 2011. Any orders made after this time will not be posted out until our return from the Christmas Holidays.
Note that the dates for Royal Mail to deliver before Christmas have now passed. We therefore cannot guarantee any order to be delivered before Christmas.
